Eva Mendes (born in New York City) is an American actress and model. Eva Mendes was spotted by a talent agent who recognized her talent. They convinced her that she could pursue a position within the entertainment field. After some thought and debate her decision was to quit college and pursue her profession as entertainer. Her first appearance was in the film 'Children of the Corn' in Fields of Terror. She was not happy with the performance. To show her worth, she worked very hard to improve her acting skills and appeared in numerous low-budget flicks. The actress had a tough road, but got rewarded for her persistence and determination. Following her triumph in Training Day, her career as an actor took off. Her most popular films include 2 Fast and Furious, The Hitch, Ghost Rider Bad Lieutenant Port of Call New Orleans, and Holy Motors.
